The second leg of the Diamond League Meeting is coming up this Saturday in Suzhou, China, and here is a list of three key things you should look out for.

Reigning World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson, world record holder Mondo Duplantis, and World Indoor 60m champion Christian Coleman will be in action once again at the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou, China on Saturday, April 27.

Pulse Sports dives into a list of key things that you need to keep an eye on as the athletes gear up for the second leg of the Diamond League Meeting.

1) Richardson seeking redemption

The World 200m bronze medallist lost her first race of the season to 19-year-old Australian Torrie Lewis at the Diamond League Meeting opener in Xiamen and she will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in Suzhou.

Richardson competed in the 200m and she will still be contesting over the half-lap race. Lewis is not on the start list but it is still a formidable field, with 4x100m relay world champion Tamara Clark and Britain's Daryll Neita.

2) Coleman vs Fred Kerley vs Ackeem Blake

The men will try their best to give fans a great show with Coleman returning with high spirits after taking the top prize in the Diamond League Meeting opener in Xiamen.

He will be up against the 2022 World champion Fred Kerley and Jamaican youngster Ackeem Blake who will also be targeting a win.

The 22-year-old recently took a first world medal, bronze behind Coleman and Noah Lyles at the World Indoor Championships in Scotland. Double Olympic finalist Akani Simbine will also be in the field.

3) Duplantis on another world record?

Duplantis began his 2024 season with a world record at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen last weekend and he heads to Suzhou in high spirits.

He cleared an astonishing 6.24m at the first attempt to add another centimetre to his previous best and post the highest jump in the pole vault for the eighth time in his career.

"I definitely think I can go higher if everything comes together," the reigning Wanda Diamond League, world and Olympic champion said in Xiamen.
