Shericka Jackson has secured her first win of the 2025 season with a gritty 100m display in Rabat Diamond League.
Shericka Jackson secured her first win 2025 season with a hard-fought victory in the women’s 100 meters at the Rabat Diamond League meeting, clocking 11.04 seconds.
Despite a sluggish start, Jackson found her rhythm midway through the race and surged past the competition to claim her first win of the season.
American sprinters Maia McCoy (11.08) and Jacious Sears (11.11) finished second and third, respectively, pushing Jackson all the way to the line.
While the result was a positive start to her campaign, Jackson appeared less than thrilled as she crossed the finish.
Known for her high standards and blistering top-end speed, the reigning world champion in the 200 meters may have expected a sharper execution.
Jackson’s performance still serves as a clear message that she remains a force to reckon with in the sprints this year
