Following an early injury scare, Kishane Thompson's latest race confirmations suggest he is doing well in training and ready to conquer the season.

Kishane Thompson is seemingly taking a different approach to his season, as he has since been confirmed for yet another race in Jamaica.

The Olympic 100m silver medallist will be competing against a quality field at the Racers Grand Prix on Saturday, June 7, at the National Stadium in Kingston.

This will be after his 100m race at the Diamond League Meeting in Shanghai on May 3, where he will be competing against the likes of Christian Coleman, Letsile Tebogo, Akani Simbine, and Jeremiah Azu.

In the men’s 100m, Kishane Thompson will not have an easy time as he goes up against defending champion Oblique Seville.

In the race, Oblique Seville was impressive as he clocked 9.82 seconds, setting a world lead and personal best.

Noah Lyles finished second in 9.85 seconds while Ferdinand Omanyala sealed the podium with a time of 10.02 seconds.

Oblique Seville ignited a rivalry with Noah Lyles as he started down at the reigning Olympic champion while beating him.

World 100m bronze medallist Zharnel Hughes, a new father in town, has also been confirmed for the 100m showdown.
