Ferdinand Omanyala has joined Noah Lyles among other elite athletes as the team Visa's newest Global Brand Ambassador.

Commonwealth Games champion Ferdinand Omanyala has joined reigning World 100m champion Noah Lyles among other prestigious athletes as a brand ambassador for the Team Visa for Paris 2024 class.

As reported by Athletics New, Omanyala now joins the current list of 117 athletes for the class which is the largest group of Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

“Being on Team Visa is a tremendous honour. Visa’s support is invaluable during my journey to the Olympics, and I’m thrilled to have their backing as I prepare to compete on the biggest stage in athletics.

Joining Team Visa is not just about athletics; it’s about inspiring people globally and connecting with my fans on a deeper level.

I’m excited to be part of this diverse and talented group of athletes, and I look forward to sharing my story and experiences with the world,” Omanyala said.

Meanwhile, Frank Cooper, the Chief Marketing Officer, at Visa, noted that athletes have the power to tell their own stories, transform fans into community, and generate commerce through their own creations.

“We gathered the Team Visa athletes in Paris to help them further develop their skills as creators and to find new and effective ways to communicate, engage, and inspire people around the world,” he said.

On her part, the Ag General Manager for East Africa Visa, Eva Ngigi-Sarwari expressed her elation to have Omanyala join Team Visa for the Paris 2024 Games.

Other athletes who are on board for the Team Visa Paris 2024 include Iga Swiatek (Tennis, Poland), Sky Brown (Skateboarding, Great Britain), Teresa Perales (Para swimming, Spain), Kanoa Igarashi (Surfing, Japan), and first-time Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls, Qingyi Liu (Breaking, China).

Rasheed Broadbell (Athletics – Sprint/Hurdles, Jamaica), Ardan Galymuly (Goalball, Kazakhstan) and Jonathan White (Para canoe, Great Britain) are also on board.
