Tottenham vs Copenhagen preview, prediction, team news, and head-to-head

Spurs are one of the unbeaten teams in the group phase so far, with one win and two draws. Copenhagen has only picked up one point from their first three group matches, and they need to fight to stay in the competition.

Tottenham heads into this Champions League match under pressure after back-to-back league losses, including a 0–1 home defeat to Chelsea. That game showed how much their attack has struggled lately as they have been without a goal in their last three matches. 

​Although Thomas Frank's men are unbeaten in Europe, this too isn't too great considering they are sitting in 15th place with five points. They will definitely want to turn things around at home, starting with this European tie.

Copenhagen has not had the best start to its European campaign. They are 32nd on the table with just one point from three games. Their last Champions League match ended in a 2–4 defeat to Dortmund. They have also had mixed results in their domestic league. 

To challenge Spurs, Copenhagen will need to tighten its defence and be more effective in attack. They showed a fight in their last European game, but still conceded 4 goals to cancel their own two goals.

If their backline is not solid (as we have seen in their 3-2 win against FC Fredericia in the Superliga), the English side could punish them.

​This will be the first time Tottenham will meet the current Superliga champions in any competition. The English club has only met a Danish opponent once, in a 3-2 win over Aalborg in 2007.

​Meanwhile, the Lions have found playing English opposition very difficult. They were only able to manage two wins from 19 games against teams from England (D5,  L12).

The Lilywhites are facing several injury problems, especially in midfield and attack. This has affected their recent performances. Lucas Bergvall has a concussion and will not return until after the international break.

Archie Gray (calf injury), Ben Davies (thigh injury), Dejan Kulusevski (knee problem), and James Maddison (knee issue) will all not be available for this match, proving that Thomas Frank has a lot to deal with.

​Jacob Neestrup has fewer injury problems. His team will depend on young striker Youssoufa Moukoko and experienced forward Viktor Claesson to provide attacking threats to their hosts' defence line.
