After Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League, the club's manager Erik ten Hag has predicted the likely winners of the competition.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has identified Bayern Munich as a strong contender for the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.

Ten Hag shared his thoughts during the post-match press conference following Manchester United's 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.

“We always have pressure. We want to win every game. You have seen today, against one the favourites for the Champions League, we go and give everything to win the game,” Ten Hag said.

“There was the belief. We had that before the game, you’ve seen the spirit of the team on the pitch and there will be at Anfield on Sunday.”
