European champions Real Madrid have reportedly registered interest in Tottenham's Argentinian defender Christian Romero.
Real Madrid’s interest
Romero, 26, joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 after winning Serie A Defender of the Year and he has been one of the most important players for the North London side.
In December 2022, he was an integral member of the Albiceleste squad that were crowned World champions in Qatar. Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on him and could make a move this summer.
According to a report from ESPN, the recently crowned European champions have identified the €60 million rated Spurs stalwart as an ideal candidate for their defence.
With Militao’s season-long injury last campaign, Carlo Ancelotti was forced to fit square pegs in round holes, and this report suggests Real Madrid want to improve their depth at the back, given the additional possibility of Nacho leaving this summer.
