Shenghu, who will be navigated by Linet Ayuko, revealed that she has been given enough support and she strongly believes she will showcase a great display.

She added that the vehicle is in good condition and she will be hoping to do a drive test sometime next week.

“I have been given the needed support and I have no excuse to fail. I believe in myself and I know I will do well…I have trained well. The vehicle is in good condition and I want to do a test drive next week,” she told KBC Sport.

She also urged more women to join the sport since it is all-inclusive. She added that they should not be shaken by the presence of world champions like Kalle Rovanpera and Sebastian Ogier.

“The progress in the sport is just like that of a child growing up…you just make the small steps and everything will unfold in no time. One day, I hope we shall get to the level of the world champions,” she said.

She also lauded the Ministry of Sports for supporting women who will be participating in the highly-anticipated event.

On her part, Ayuko revealed that her main goal is to rally more women to join the sport. “I want to inspire more women to take up the sport…I am willing to support them in whichever way I can,” she said.
