"Durban City FC confirms that the Club has parted ways with Head Coach Sinethemba Badela by mutual agreement," the club stated. "We appreciate his service and wish him every success moving forward."

Despite this brief tenure, Pitso Mosimane offered a strong endorsement of Badela's abilities, urging the nation to support its homegrown talent.

"This coach is very talented. I see something special in him," the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach posted on his social media account. "South Africa must preserve and nurture its own talent."
