Paul Pogba: Disgraced Juventus midfielder now earning just ₦400k per week after suspension
Pogba is currently facing the most difficult period of his professional career, with a potential long-term ban looming, due to testing positive for banned substances.
After a positive doping test at the start of the season, the Frenchman was provisionally suspended, preventing him from training with the Juventus squad, with his salary also withheld.
Pogba's Juventus career hits new low
Pogba told the Juventus medical staff that he had taken a supplement but only on the advice of a doctor friend in the United States.
However, he could now face up to four years on the sidelines, unless he can prove he took the substance unintentionally, which could reduce his ban to two years.
According to Gazzetta, Pogba is now earning the Union minimum €2,000-a-month, a huge reduction from his previous €10m a year contract.
The report further states that if a suspension of over six months is set, the Bianconeri have the right to terminate his contract and potentially seek compensation for damages.
