Super Eagles hero Victor Osimhen has shown true sportsmanship and friendship after Nigeria’s crucial win over Gabon by sending an emotional four-word message to his heartbroken teammate and close friend Mario Lemina.

Osimhen once again played a decisive role as Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup hopes remain alive following a devastating 4-1 victory against Lemina and the Panthers of Gabon in Rabat on Thursday.

Soon after the match, Osimhen took to his Instagram story to express solidarity with Lemina, simply writing, “Love you my brother.”

Lemina, who has described his disappointed after the loss, replied hours later, acknowledging the tough nature of competitive football.

“Business is business, my brother. Congrats! One of you or me would be sad after the game and it’s me this time. All respect and love bro.”
