Odion Ighalo scores hat-trick for Al Wehda: Super Eagles star on fire in Saudi Arabia

Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo is back on the score sheet in Saudi Arabia.

Ighalo has been on a goal-scoring drought for some time but finally found the back of the net on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Ighalo was the hero as Al Wehda recorded a 3-1 victory at home against Al-Khaleej in a Saudi Pro League fixture.

Ighalo scored the first goal of the game as early as the third minute assisted by Abdulaziz Noor to put Al Wehda in front.

Al Khaleej responded with an equalizer when Fabio Martins converted a penalty in the 22nd minute.

In the 58th minute, Ighalo put Al Wehda in front converting a ball from Saeed Al-Muwallad.

The Super Eagles striker wrapped up his hat-trick in the 80th minute from the penalty spot.

In the 93rd minute, Ighalo was substituted for Yousef Al-Harbi as Al Wehda cruised to a crucial three points.

The victory means Al Wehda moved to ninth in the standings.

Ighalo returns to action when Al Wehda takes on Al Raed in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023.
