'Never stop working hard' - Drogba drums support for Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson

Didier Drogba has shown solidarity with Nicolas Jackson; the Ivorian legend urged the Senegalese striker to ignore the negativity and focus on his football.

The 23-year-old Chelsea forward has received several backlashes for his performance since he joined the Blues last season.

One such backlash came from Mikel Obi who was critical of Nicolas Jackson's performance against Manchester City in their opening Premier League game.

The 2013 AFCON winner said, "Chelsea needs a striker who can hit the ball and Jackson is not good enough for the Blues.

However, after his comment about him, the young striker aimed a dig at the Chelsea legend on his Instagram story.

Jackson screenshotted a post from 433 that says, “@Jackson,nj11 just scored Chelsea’s fastest Premier League goal since 2017.”

He then added a caption to the picture, saying, “@mikel_john_obi Shut your mouth, don't talk shit, we are killing ourself for Africa.”

Chelsea legend Drogba became a modern icon for the Blues, scoring over 150 goals and winning four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and the Champions League.

Drogba posted on X formerly Twitter, "Keep your head High UP and never stop working hard, it will pay off."

The forward helped Chelsea thrash Wolves 6-2 at the Molineux Stadium, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
