Manchester United's Ten Hag reveals 'one plan' after FA Cup final defeat
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is already looking ahead to the future after the FA Cup defeat to Manchester City at Wembley today, saying he has only one plan.
The Dutch manager missed the chance to win a second trophy in only his first season in charge of the Red Devils, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to their neighbours.
The match in brief
Ilkay Gundogan gave Manchester City the lead in the first minute of the game before Bruno Fernandes restored parity from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute.
The German would have the last laugh, firing through a cluster of bodies and beating De Gea to restore City's lead in the 51st minute, a lead they held on to to win the game.
What Ten Hag said
The former Ajax box was dejected by the defeat but was already thinking about the future.
He said he has only one plan for United, and it is to improve them, the means of which he claims he will relay to the club's leadership.
"I have only one plan," he said, per the BBC.
"That is to improve this club. I will tell the club what we have to do."
