Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer from Bayern Munich after winning eight league titles; however, he has suggested the title with the Blaugrana was more special.

Xavi's charges were mathematically champions after the win against Espanyol, but it was only yesterday, following the loss at Camp Nou to Real Sociedad, that they were presented the trophy.

It is their first league title since 2019, and they have achieved it in impressive fashion, with a double-digit lead and games to spare.

The former Borussia Dortmund star, elated after their coronation, has drawn comparisons between the Spanish top flight and the German league, which he conquered eight times.

The Polish striker believes the difficulty Barcelona has had to go through and the fact that they are in transition give it a different feel than the ones he won with the Bavarians, where they were super dominant and shoo-ins for the title at the start of every season.

“I’m proud of the season. Winning the league and Super Copa is a great achievement. This title taste differently than those won with Bayern. And I won 8 in the row. Here we are in the transition. We are building something new.”
