Former Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has hailed Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as the best defender in the world.
Chiellini knows all about being a top defender and winning things with his country, and Bastoni has a similar chance to write his name in the history books for Italy.

Speaking to AS, the 39-year-old showered praise on Bastoni as Italy look to defend their EURO crown.
“The best at the moment is Bastoni,” said Chiellini

“On a technical level, there are few at his level in the world. He is evolving and interpreting the new evolution of football.
“Bastoni is a strong defender who is less positional and increasingly technical and offensive.”
Italy have 3 points from their first two games, and they take on Croatia in the final group match needing only a draw to qualify.
