Nigerian striker Victor Boniface played a key role as Bayer Leverkusen became the first Bundesliga team to complete a season unbeaten, joining AC Milan, Arsenal, and Juventus as the only teams in the top-five leagues in European history to achieve this feat.

Leverkusen finished the 2023/24 season with 28 wins and six draws, amassing 90 points. They also set a European record for the longest unbeaten run, with 51 games without a loss.

This achievement marks a historic moment for the club and cements their status as one of the top teams in European football.

Leverkusen's unbeaten run is not limited to the Bundesliga, as they also have the chance to complete an unbeaten treble, having reached the finals of the DFB Pokal and UEFA Europa League.

This would be remarkable, surpassing even Arsenal and Juventus's accomplishments.

Milan won the Serie A in 1992 unbeaten, Arsenal did same in 2004, and Juventus replicated the feat in 2012 under Antonio Conte.
