Adesanya was knocked out in the second round against French rising star Nassourdine Imavov

Following his fourth defeat in his previous five bouts, Adesanya will reflect on his future after losing to Imavov in the second round on Saturday, February 1st, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

When the veteran was in a vulnerable position, Imavov pounced on him after collapsing Adesanya and used ground-and-pound to end the bout.

There was no other course of action since, had the battle gone on, Adesanya would have probably been rendered unconscious, even if he seemed to be upset that the referee had pulled him from the fight.

After his professional MMA record dropped to 24 (16 KOs) against five defeats, Adesanya spoke to the UFC post-fight show and said he will decide in the upcoming months regarding his future and retirement.
