Gerard Piqué set to wed new girlfriend following messy split from Shakira

According to reports, Gerard Piqué has taken the decision to walk his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, down the aisle.

Sources have revealed that Pique wants to get married to Clara Chia Marti, one year after they began dating.

The former Barcelona defender had been in a relationship with Colombian songstress Shakira, for 11 years.

However, the pair called it quits in June 2022 after Shakira discovered Pique cheated on her.

Pique has since moved on with his new relationship with Clara Chia Marti and the couple has been spotted on several occasions spending time together.

Pique is set to take a huge step in his relationship with Clara Chia.

The 36-year-old former Barcelona defender has finalized his plans to get married to his new girlfriend, a step he did not take with his ex, Shakira.

Shakira and Pique were in a relationship for over a decade but never got married for some reason or the other, despite sharing two sons, Milan and Sasha.

It is understood that the 46-year-old Colombian singer did not buy into the idea of officially tying the knot with the former Spain international.

However, an exclusive report from Look via Ok Dario, reveals that Pique and Clara Chia, 23, have decided to get married after just over a year of their relationship.

The report adds that the announcement will take place on another important date for Piqué, June 24, which is the same date as the wedding of his brother Marc, who marries Maria.

The venue for the ceremony is not yet known.

But the report reveals that Pique will wed Clara Chia in the province of Barcelona and that the most intimate circle of the couple will attend.

 This comes just days after Shakira had reportedly refused to let her children, Milan and Sasha, attend their uncle Marc’s wedding with their father, Pique.
