Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal attested to Gavi's quality, despite the youngster playing for Los Blancos's biggest rivals, Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old scored the only goal for Spain in the EURO qualifier clash against Norway, and the goal confirmed La Roja's place in next year's tournament.
What Carvajal said
He was speaking after the match and was asked about Gavi's performance and his quality. The Real Madrid star stated that the 19-year-old is a pearl, as he is a starter for club and country.
"19 years old, starter at Barça and in the National Team, little more to say. He is a pearl,” he told El Chiringuito.
Gavi has started the season brilliantly for Barcelona this season and is arguably the best midfielder for the Blaugrana this season, with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong nursing injuries and Ilkay Gundogan still settling in.

More on Carvajal
As Pulse Sports reported, Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal analysed Spain's victory over Norway, specifically how they kept the world's deadliest striker, Erling Haaland, quiet.
The right-back explained that they tried to set up with a compact shape so as to prevent their hosts from playing through them, and as the result shows, the match went as planned.
"We came here to win; we played a complete game," Carvajal said.
"They hardly gave us any chances and we are going home happy and with our ticket to the Euro.
"Defensively, from Unai [Simon] to Alvaro [Morata], we have been very compact; we have not allowed him to receive any comfortable ball. Praise the work of the centre-backs because they have done a fantastic job."
