Liverpool have officially announced the signing of highly-rated midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Reds announced earlier today, confirming the arrival of the Hungary international from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

Hungarian scored six goals and provided eight assists for Leipzig last season making him wanted by top clubs in Europe.

Liverpool had made the 22-year-old talented playmaker a priority target and made several negotiations with Leipzig to sign the midfielder.

However, the Reds were ultimately forced to trigger his €70million release clause at RB Leipzig.

Liverpool via their official Twitter account announced Szoboszlai’s signing with an official statement that read: ‘We have completed the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig, subject to a work permit’.

Szoboszlai has been handed the no.8 shirt worn by the legendary Steven Gerrard and the 22-year-old midfielder has been buzzing following his unveiling as a new Liverpool player.

 “I will be number 8 as I’ve a tattoo from Steven Gerrard. That was the reason why. He was one of the biggest when I was a child.” Szoboszlai said.

The new Reds’ signing loves to keep his relationship life away from the media, however, he has been known to be in a relationship with a model known as Fanni Gécsek.

The new Liverpool signing is currently in a relationship with a Hungarian model and influencer known as  Fanni Gécsek.

 Fanni Gécsek was born in Budapest, the same birthplace of Szoboszlai.

Szoboszlai and Gescek are understood to have been dating since 2020.

The footballer and the stunning model were first linked following his transfer from RB Salzburg to Leipzig in December 2020.

The beautiful girlfriend of Szoboszlai is also a former Tennis player.
