Eric Bailly calls Manchester United fans 'real champions' in emotional farewell message
Ivorian defender Eric Bailly has said his final goodbye to Premier League side Manchester United and the fans.
Bailly posted a message after he left the Red Devils for the Turkish Super Lig in the summer.
He has joined giants Besiktas where he has penned a one-year contract until the summer of 2024.

The no-nonsense defender joined the club from LALIGA side Villarreal in the summer of 2016.
He was signed by Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, who was then the manager of the United.
However, despite a bright start to life at Old Trafford, the 29-year-old went on to struggle with injuries and game time at the club.
He was thereafter farmed out to the Ligue 1 where he joined Olympique Marseille.
On his return, Bailly and United decided it was time to go their separate ways, bringing to an end a seven-year romance.
He has since joined Besiktas on a free transfer with United moving on with the return of Jonny Evans.
Bailly’s message to fans
Following is exit, the talented stopper took to his socials to send a farewell message.
Bailly addressed both clubs and fans, whom he referred to as ‘real champions’.
“As I leave this club after many years of incredible memories, outstanding teammates, and trophies, I want to express my profound gratitude,” Bailly said in a post on his X.com account.
“This chapter may be closing, but the friendships and memories will forever remain in my heart. The fans here are the real champions. Thanks,” he added.
Bailly played over 100 matches for United, winning the Europa League, Community Shield, and League Cup during his time at the club.
