Chelsea star Thiago Silva furious with EA FC 24 rating, says game developers don't watch football
The Chelsea defender joined the Blues from Paris Saint Germain in 2020 and has since then been a solid rock in their backline.
The new EA FC 24 rating was recently released as they make plans to release the official game.
The 38-year-old learned that his rating had dropped from 86 to 84 ahead of the new release and made a remark that the developers are "watching football with their eyes closed."
Thiago Silva’s reaction to EA 24 rating
He stated to the Premier League's official YouTube channel, as reported by the Sun, "They’re not watching football, they’re watching the games like this [with their eyes closed].
"I think that obviously offensively I can improve because I didn't get a single goal last year. This year I think I can improve my attacking because defensively I'm good."
At the end of this month, EA Sports FC, the replacement for the beloved FIFA gaming series, will be available.
The first player ratings have already been released, with Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City receiving the highest scores (91 each) among Premier League stars.
Christopher Nkunku is the highest-rated player for Chelsea, followed by Reece James and Silva, both of whom have ratings of 84.
The EA ratings for the majority of players have significantly decreased as a result of the Blues' 12th-place performance in the Premier League last year.
The only other Chelsea players to receive a rating higher than 80 are Moises Caicedo, Ben Chilwell, and club-record acquisition Raheem Sterling.
