Manchester United are reportedly looking to sell Marcus Rashford this summer after running out of patience with their star forward.
Why Man United are keen to sell Rashford
According to HITC, the Red Devils have grown tired of several disciplinary problems involving the forward, whose relationship with Erik ten Hag is said to be strained.
One of the Englishman’s peccadillos was his night out in Belfast in January on the eve of the Red Devils’ FA Cup match at Newport County on January 28.
The forward missed training the following day after calling in sick, an incident that followed the club’s top forward being spotted in a night club after a 3-0 Manchester derby defeat at Old Trafford to Manchester City in October 2023.
Both unsatisfactory incidents have soured the relationship between the forward and the club, who are rumoured to be willing to listen to offers for their highest earner.
PSG will welcome Rashford to Paris
Despite his hefty £300,000 per week contract, Paris Saint-Germain are undaunted by the 26-year-old’s wage demands, having freed up their budget following Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid.
PSG were keen on Rashford in the previous summer but the Englishman renewed his contract to stay with the Manchester giants.
However, recent speculation points to the Parisians returning for the England international, who endured an underwhelming 2023-24 season, to add much-needed attacking reinforcements after losing Mbappe.
What comes next?
Rashford is currently on holiday after his omission from England’s Euro 2024 squad.
While the United forward’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain, it remains to be seen if PSG or any other club registers their interest in the 26-year-old.
