Arsenal star Ramsdale says his dad was drunk before having a go at Carragher
The Arsenal goalkeeper was dropped by Mikel Arteta after the first few games of the season and was replaced by David Raya.
Ramsdale’s exclusion from the first eleven caused a lot of controversies on social media, with Sky Sports analyst Jamie Carragher also commenting about the issue.
Nick Ramsdale then replied to the Sky Sports analyst Carragher, calling him "a disgrace" for claiming that his son was acting for the cameras.
However, Aaron has now said that his dad had a couple of beers before lashing out at Jaime Carragher.
Ramsdale speaks about his dad attack on Carragher
Ramsdale has revealed what really happened that caused the rift between his dad and Carragher in a recent interview.
With a smile, Ramsdale Junior said as reported by the Sun, “It doesn't help that my dad does it.
“But it was on a golf trip in Spain with 19 other lads from the local pub. To be honest, I wasn't too mad at him, he didn't say anything out of turn.
“It just wasn't helpful for the situation, he knew that. He obviously just had a few too many on the golf course!”
Meanwhile, Ramsdale has not had it easy since he was replaced as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper by David Raya.
As it stands, Mikel Arteta is sticking to the Spanish goalkeeper for important games this season, leaving Ramsdale worried about his position.
