Arsenal ban fans
Arsenal Football Club has released a statement confirming that 17 of its supporters faced sanctions during the previous season, as reported by Sportal.
Each fan has been banned from all of the London club's matches for a period of one to three years.
Of the 11 in-stadium offenses, three were for sexist language/harassment, and two were for racism.
One of the online abuse incidents resulted in law enforcement action, and there were also three death threats.
The club continues to assist the Metropolitan Police with nine other ongoing investigations.
Meanwhile, the Gunners started the new season with a narrow 1-0 victory over rivals Manchester United at the weekend.
