'Amorim has had more than enough time' - Ex-Premier League manager criticises Man United boss
Manchester United started the season with a disappointing defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday, putting Amorim in a difficult position.
The Red Devils lost narrowly, 1-0, to Arsenal despite being the best team in the game.
Dyche slams Amorim
Dyche is known for his pragmatic, old-school style and for favouring a 4-4-2 formation with his teams, as blasted Amorim, as reported by Sportal.
“I might get slated for what I’m about to say, but I bet I could win more games with this team playing a 4-4-2. People keep talking about Amorim's philosophy, but it's not working.
"You can get away with it for five or ten games, but when you hit 20, it's obvious things aren't clicking. Maybe I'm wrong, because it wasn't working with the players they had, and this summer they've brought in new forwards who will probably do better.
"On one hand, I like the fact that they're sticking to their plan, which is what sets Manchester United apart. But now there's immense pressure to get it right. Amorim has been given more than enough time.
"On the other hand, people forget Pep’s first season – he made a lot of changes to his squad and formation and finished 13 points off the top, but nobody batted an eyelid.
"If that were at Real Madrid, he probably would have been sacked. But then it all came together and he won the title the next season,” Dyche commented.
