2024 WRC Safari Rally in Kenya promises thrilling competition with notable drivers and challenging stages set against breathtaking landscapes.

Carry your picnic seats, food, and drinks, but if you cannot make it to Naivasha, worry not! The 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) is bringing the adrenaline-pumping action of the Safari Rally directly to your screens.

This year's edition promises an epic adventure through the rugged terrains of Kenya, a tradition that has thrilled motorsport fans since its return to the WRC calendar in 2021 after a hiatus since 2002.

With a spectacular line-up and a challenging route, the Safari Rally is a test of endurance, strategy, and sheer driving skill, making it a must-watch event for rally enthusiasts worldwide.

Event schedule and line-up

The Safari Rally revs off on March 28 with the ceremonial start followed by the first stage, setting the tone for a grueling competition through to March 31.

This year, Esapekka Lappi enters the rally on a high after clinching a dramatic victory in Rally Sweden, ending a six-and-a-half-year drought.

The current leader, Thierry Neuville, and Elfyn Evans, closely follow him in the championship points, setting the stage for a fierce battle in Kenya.

The event is marked by the absence of Sebastien Ogier, a previous winner, making room for Kalle Rovanpera to potentially add another Safari Rally victory to his accolades.

The terrain of the Safari Rally is notorious for its unpredictability, with the addition of snorkels on vehicles highlighting the unique challenges posed by the Kenyan landscape.
