After facing defeat in Sweden, Toyota's determined drivers aim to conquer the Safari Rally Kenya podium with unwavering resolve.

Toyota Gazoo Racing's team principal Jari-Matti Latvala sees the upcoming Safari Rally Kenya as a golden opportunity for his squad to reclaim its winning form.

After losing the initial two rounds to Hyundai Motorsport, Latvala is determined to reverse the trend and prevent a Hyundai hat-trick at the start of the season.

The upcoming rally holds a special significance for Toyota, having emerged victorious since the iconic African classic rejoined the series in 2021.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by the Safari Rally's unique terrain and the shift in timing to the rainy season, Latvala maintains a grounded perspective, emphasizing the team's focus on reliability as a key asset in tackling Kenya's rough conditions.

"I'm really looking forward to Kenya," Latvala expressed as per WRC.com.

"We need to be really patient over there because the first two events for the season haven't been going the way we hoped. So it's a rally where I think we really want to bounce back."

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team's lineup remains formidable, with reigning world champion and former Safari winner Kalle Rovanperä leading the charge alongside seasoned campaigners Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta.

Their collective experience and expertise are poised to make waves on the Naivasha event stage from March 28th to 31st.
