Tanak and Kipchoge shared secrets of success and foster trust between rallying and marathon running

In a meeting that brought together two extraordinary athletes, World Rally Championship (WRC) former champion Ott Tanak had the privilege of meeting the legendary marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge. 

The encounter took place in Kaptagat, Kenya, where Tanak is currently preparing for the upcoming Safari Rally.

The Estonian speedster took to his social media pages to express his gratitude and share his experience with his fans and followers.

"Yesterday, we had a chance to visit The Legend himself - Eliud Kipchoge," Tanak wrote, his excitement palpable.

Tanak expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Kipchoge for his warm hospitality and further emphasized the profound inspiration he drew from witnessing firsthand the incredible work Kipchoge is doing for his community.

"Thank you Eliud for hosting us! It was an inspirational visit and amazing to see what you are doing for your community!" Tanak's post conveyed, capturing the deep admiration he felt for the World Marathon record holder.

The two champions engaged in a range of activities that showcased their mutual dedication to making a difference.

Tanak, known for his love of nature and commitment to environmental conservation, planted a tree at the Kaptagat training center, a facility frequented by many Kenyan athletes. 

Later, the two sportsmen embarked on a light jog together, exchanging stories and wisdom along the way. 

In an interview after their meeting, Kipchoge spoke about the valuable insights gained from Tänak's visit.

"It is a plus that the World Rally Championships drivers visited the camp, and we have shared a lot," Kipchoge revealed. "We have realized that the sport has similar things, and what we learned today is the trust which is crucial in both sports and what a human being is expected in life to practice."

While Tanak's skills lie in the exhilarating world of rally racing, Kipchoge has revolutionized long-distance running with his unmatched stamina, determination, and mental fortitude.
