Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada has opened a new chapter in his football career by sealing a move to Romanian top-flight side UTA Arad.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder, who stands at an imposing 1.90 meters, has signed a deal running until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option for a further year.

“UTA has confirmed the signing of defensive midfielder Richard Odada (24), a Kenyan international. The contract runs until the end of the season, with the club holding an option to extend it for another year. Born in Nairobi, Odada stands at 1.90m and has played for notable clubs in Europe and America: Red Star Belgrade (Serbia), Philadelphia Union (USA), AaB Aalborg (Denmark), and Dundee United (Scotland). At national team level, he has earned 25 caps for Kenya in the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers,” the club said in a statement.
A Career Built on Persistence
After leaving AFC Leopards in 2019, Odada joined Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, a move that marked his first step into European football.
