Harper limped off in the 60th minute as Exeter lost to promotion favorites Peterborough but his injury is not thought to be serious.

Harambee Stars defender Vincent Harper suffered an injury scare on Saturday as he had to be substituted in the 60th minute during their 2-1 loss to Peterborough in an EFL League one clash.

The left wing back, who has scored one goal in 25 league games for the Gary Caldwell-coached side since signing last summer, had began to make the position his own from January after he had failed to feature for large parts of December.

Harper's injury, however, is not thought to be too serious, as he should still be in contention for future games.

Kwame Poku played a crucial role in securing a victory for Peterborough in their pursuit of promotion.

Poku's winning goal, a fine finish in the 68th minute from just inside the box, marked his 10th goal of the campaign.

The tactical adjustments made by manager Darren Ferguson, including shifting Poku into a central position, proved effective.

The match saw Peterborough take an early lead in the fourth minute when Ephron Mason-Clark capitalized on a parried shot by Malik Mothersille, scoring his 17th goal of the season.

However, the opposing team, described as League One's lowest scorers City, managed to level the score nine minutes before the break with a goal from Tom Carroll. It was Carroll's first goal in almost seven years, a fortunate 20-yard half-volley that deflected off Jadel Katongo and looped over the keeper.

Despite Exeter City's attempts, including a missed opportunity by Harper in the second half and stoppage-time efforts from Mo Eisa and debutant Millenic Alli, Poku's decisive goal secured the three points for Peterborough.

The match appears to have been filled with drama and late chances, making it an exciting encounter for fans.
