Bronny James rose to the top of the trends on social media in the early hours of Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

The 18-year-old followed in the footsteps of his father Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.

James made history at the 2003 McDonald's All-American dunk contest and his son Bronny followed in his footsteps.

Bronny was among the top high school recruits selected to the 2023 McDonald's All-American team.

Bronny James after an excellent showing in the game participated in the dunk contest.

The number 10 ranked prospect for the 2024 NBA draft brought out behind-the-back dunks and bounce-off backboard throw-downs.

Bronny even brought his younger brother Bryce James for a jump-off over the backboard dunk that sent the crowd wild.

The dunks by Bronny went viral on social media with his father and some big personalities impressed with his athleticism.

LeBron showed support by starting with a message to support his son that said, "Let's GO BRONNY!! ⬆️⬆️ and Away."

LeBron is with the Lakers as they travel to face the Chicago Bulls but Bronny had his mother Savannah James as well as his siblings Bryce and Zhuri in attendance.

Bronny's younger sister Zhuri was in attendance and after a monster, dunk scored her brother nine out 

James reacted as Zhuri was the only one to give out a nine from the family.

The NBA All-time top scorer on his official Twitter account wrote, "It’s cool. Should have been 10s across the board! For sure. Hahaha."

James was unable to win the slam dunk contest as he came a close second as Sean Stewart headed to play college basketball at Duke.

Bronny is expected to declare his intention to go college or the NBA G-League in the coming weeks.

LeBron recently returned from injury and continues to help the Lakers in a push for the playoffs.
