Two-time world 5000m champion Hellen Obiri has opened up about what made her fail to defend her title at the 2025 edition of the Boston Marathon.
Going into the race on Monday, April 21, Hellen Obiri was hoping to win her third successive Boston Marathon title and join the exclusive club of women who have achieved the milestone.
Only four women had won three successive Boston Marathon titles: Bobbi Gibb, Sara Mae Berman, Uta Pippig, and Fatuma Roba. Hellen Obiri was confident about her chances of joining the coveted club.
