Kenya's javelin great Julius Yego is now confident of a World Championships medal after his heroics in Silesia.
Former world javelin champion Julius Yego now believes he is in good shape to go for a medal at the World Championships.
Yego rolled back the years when he won his first Diamond League meeting in nine years in Silesia, Poland last Saturday.
The 2015 world champion threw 83.60m to win in the Silesia leg of the competition and beat the likes of former Olympic medalists Keshorn Walcott and Anderson Pieters and now feels he is in the right conditions to return to his best.

Julius Yego Makes Massive Statement with First Diamond League Win in Nine Years
Kenya’s javelin legend Julius Yego rolled back the years by winning his first Diamond League series meeting in nine years following a good show in Silesia.
"It was really great to have that winning feeling back," Yego, the 2016 Olympics silver medalist told Telecomasia.net.
"Of course I would have wanted to throw a longer distance but nonetheless, I feel like what I did was great especially in terms of motivation and getting myself mentally pumped.
"It has boosted my belief and now I go back home to prepare with some good state of mind. I want to finish on the podium at the World Championships and this has just made my belief even stronger."

Javelin legend Julius Yego has shared how Eliud Kipchoge and Vivian Cheruiyot played a role in his strong return to competition when injuries nearly forced him out.
Yego will be competing at his seventh World Championships in Tokyo next month, 10 years since his last world title, and as he gets into the twilight years of his career, a medal of any colour would complete a remarkable comeback.
To do this, however, Yego will need to improve his throw to around or past the 90m mark as this is the standard that has been winning medals for his rivals and also put him on the podium 10 years ago.
