We have everything — Germany boss Nagelsmann talks big ahead of EURO 2024 opener
Germany have had a difficult time at recent major tournaments but there seems to be a renewed sense of optimism ahead of EURO 2024.
The hosts open the tournament against Scotland on Friday night and head coach Julian Nagelsmann believes they can channel the huge expectations into a victorious home tournament.
Nagelsmann believes Germany have everything to win
Speaking ahead of the Scotland game, Nagelsmann challenged his men to show their mettle.
“I look in our players’ eyes and see the belief and will to win. I want us to believe in ourselves.
We have great players, good togetherness, and a home advantage. We’ve had great training sessions and a good mentality.
"We have everything: we just have to show it tomorrow, and that’s why belief is very important.”
Germany will rely on key players like Bayern Munich duo Leroy Sane, and Jamal Musiala, as well as Bundesliga champion with Bayer Leverkusen Florian Wirtz.
