Osimhen briefly suffered a dip in his Instagram following that same month, losing over 100,000 followers on the platform.

However, the prolific forward recouped back his following in three fold as his numbers on Instagram rose to 4 million as of July 2024.

However, he is still second to Al Fayha winger Henry Onyekuru, who is the most followed Nigerian footballer on the platform with 4.5 million followers.

This new milestone underscores Osimhen’s status as one of the most influential Nigerian footballers in the world.
