Super Eagles players perform welcoming ritual for new invitees Nathan Tella and Amas Obasogie
Nathan Tella and Amas Obasogie earned an official call-up for Nigeria after an impressive start to the season in their respective clubs.
The duo are currently playing for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany and Nigeria Professional Football League team Bendel Insurance.
Both players are expected to play a part in Nigeria’s first game against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

Nathan Tella and Amas Obasogie were invited to play for the Super Eagles for the first time in their career.
With the Super Eagles set to kick off their World Cup qualifying campaign, newcomers Tella and Obasogie were welcomed to the team by their teammates.

Today, Nigeria will kick up their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
Jose Peseiro's side was drawn in Group C alongside Lesotho, the Benin Republic, Rwanda, and South Africa.
Nigeria will be hoping to kick-start their World Cup qualification campaign with a win over Lesotho.
