Nigerian football legend Vincent Enyeama has taken to social media to express his gratitude and excitement after being named Africa's greatest goalkeeper of all time by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

Super Eagles’ Enyeama on recognition
In his Instagram post, Enyeama exclaimed, "This one is loud. Grace and favour at work,” he posted alongside the picture of the story.
“Story that gladdens the heart. Thanks to everyone that is behind this. Thanks to IFFHS. I really appreciate," he added.
The veteran goalkeeper's humility and gratitude were evident as he acknowledged the support and contributions of those who have been instrumental in his success.
Renowned as one of Nigeria's finest goalkeepers, he started off his career in the NPFL with Enyimba before enjoying a successful stint with Lille in France and representing his country with distinction on the international stage.
His performances in multiple World Cups and Africa Cup of Nations tournaments solidified his reputation as a world-class shot-stopper.
Enyeama played a decisive role in the Super Eagles AFCON triumph in 2013, captaining the Super Eagles to victory and lifting the trophy for the first time in his career.
In addition to his achievements with the national team, Enyeama made history as the only African goalkeeper to score in the UEFA Champions League, a remarkable feat that further underscored his talent.
His success also included two CAF Champions League titles with Enyimba, cementing his legacy as one of Africa's greatest footballers.
While Enyeama celebrates this well-deserved recognition, checks by Pulse Sports on the IFFHS website failed to produce any report on the ranking.
