Striker Charles Bbaale leaves SC Villa
Contract talks between SC Villa and Bbaale reportedly collapsed on multiple occasions as the Jogoos struggled to persuade the marksman to renew his contract.
Bbaale, who was voted the Pilsner StarTimes Uganda Premier League Player's Player of the Year, was SC Villa's top scorer last season with 12 league goals.
He becomes the latest big-name player to leave the Jogoos after skipper Gift Fred joined Tanzania champions Young Africans.
Bbaale will reportedly join a yet-to-be-identified Rwandan club in the nation's top-flight league.
The Rwanda Premier League has attracted compatriots Taddeo Lwanga (APR), Simon Tamale (Rayon Sport) and Emmanuel Kalyowa (Kiyovu) ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Free agent Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Charles Lukwago is also linked with a move to the Rwanda Premier League after St George, Ethiopia, released him.
