REPORT: PSG consider selling Ousmane Dembele after Ligue 1 struggles
Ousmane’s Dembele’s celebrated move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona this summer could already be turning sour after reports emerged that the French club are considering selling the winger just months into the new relationship.
PSG and Dembele already seeing cracks in relationship
PSG paid Dembele’s release clause from Barcelona in the summer, despite earlier reports that the winger would renew his contract with the Blaugrana, and finally got their long-term target to agree to a move to Paris.
However, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo now reports that the player could be set for an early exit after failing to impress in his first few games for the club.
Dembele has played in four Ligue 1 games this season, starting three of them, but is yet to score or assist for his new side, leading to rumours that the winger could be disposed of as early as the January transfer window.
PSG consider Dembele departure
The Frenchman’s last season with Spanish giants Barcelona saw him rediscover his form as he produced five goals and seven assists in 16 starts in LaLiga before succumbing to an injury towards the end of the season, but he has not shown the same effectiveness in Paris.
Despite his early struggles, interest in Dembele outside PSG is thought to be high, with Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham all keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
PSG’s wealth of attacking talent also includes Kylan Mbappe, Goncalo Ramos, Kang-In Lee, Marco Asensio, and Randal Kolo Muani, making a potential departure for Dembele a real possibility if his form in front of goal persists.
