Barcelona started brightly against Levante, with Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford showing promising signs in the early exchanges.

Levante scored against the run of play, capitalising on the space in behind, breaking Barça’s high line as Iván Romero shrugged off defenders to score after just 15 minutes.

Ferran Torres hit the crossbar for the visitors, and Levante squandered a chance when Adrián de la Fuente headed wide. In stoppage time, a VAR-reviewed handball by Balde led to José Luis Morales converting a penalty, his fourth career goal against Barça.

Hansi Flick replaced the ineffective Rashford and Marc Casadó with Dani Olmo and Gavi at halftime.

Pedri sparked the comeback with a 25-yard screamer three minutes into the second half, followed by Torres’ volleyed equalizer from a corner.

Barça’s relentless pressure paid off when Unai Elgezabal’s own goal in stoppage time, off Yamal’s cross, sealed a 3-2 win.
