Paris Saint-Germain eye Arsenal manager Arteta after ending Nagelsmann talks
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly drawing up a move for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as their search for a replacement for Christophe Galtier goes on.
PSG look to Arteta as Galtier replacement search goes on
Galtier is believed to be on his way out of the club despite winning the 2022/23 Ligue 1 title for Les Parisiens, as the season was still deemed a failure after early exits from the UEFA Champions League and Coupe de France.
PSG are now in the market for a replacement for the French gaffer, and after stumbling out of talks with German manager Julian Nagelsmann, who left Bayern Munich earlier this year, they have reportedly turned their attention to former player, Arteta, who is currently coach of Premier League outfit Arsenal.
Arteta planing on Arsenal stay
Arteta spent one memorable season and a half at PSG on loan from Barcelona in the 2001/02 season, winning the Intertoto Cup in 2001, and has gone on to become one of the finest managers in the game at Arsenal, bringing the Gunners to the brink of the 2022/23 Premier League title.
Despite the interest, Arteta is believed to be focused solely on Arsenal and is looking forward to coaching the Gunners in the 2023/24 season of the Champions League.
PSG will most likely have to look elsewhere as their manager search is set to continue.
