Osimhen's agent comments on release clause details

Victor Osimhen’s agent, Robert Calenda, has refused to provide specifics on the release clause worked into Victor Osimhen’s contract.

As Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen has signed a contract extension with Napoli through June 2026, which includes an unspecified release clause.

“This was a marathon, a long process, but we reached the finish line,” Calenda told Sky Sport, per Football Italia.

“The renewal satisfies everyone because we all wanted to continue this story that reached a peak last season with the Scudetto victory.

“Victor and his teammates inspired the team and gave the fans great joy. Both parties wanted to continue this adventure together.”

Asked about the specific figure of the release clause, he said, “I would not go too far into the details. Let us leave room for what happened, and that is the renewal which both the player and club wanted. Let us leave the details to the paperwork.”

Meanwhile, Osimhen has received timely advice on where he should pitch his tent next if he decides to leave Napoli.

With Osimhen having many options in front of him for his next career move, his Super Eagles colleague Calvin Bassey has advised the striker on what he believes would be the best move to make.

On a future move outside Napoli for Osimhen, Bassey said, “The Prem would suit him. Hopefully, he comes at some point, but I’d rather have him on my team than against him!”
