Nigerians have dominated the continent at the ongoing African Junior Tennis Championships in Togo.

The Nigerian girls have scooped medals in different categories in Lome, Togo.

The U14 and 16 girls won gold medals in the Doubles event, after clinching gold in the Singles event.

Ohunene Yakubu Partnered with Etoro Bassey to whip the Ghanaian pair of Tracy Ampah and Sisu-Makena Tomegah in two straight sets of 6-1, 6-2.

The Girls won four gold medals for Nigeria at the ongoing competition, two gold medals in the U-16 category.

Nigeria’s Khadijat Mohammed partnered with Winner Gakpo from Togo, to defeat Ndidi Osaji and Bright Emmanuel in the U14 Girls Doubles final.

Yakubu breaks 4 years-old record

Ohunene Yakubu broke Marylove Edwards record after she won two gold medals in the U14 category. 

Marylove Edwards won two gold medals at the Afriacan Junior Tennis Championship in 2018.
