Napoli vs Juventus: Osimhen aiming to extend hot streak against Old Lady

SSC Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will look to keep up his red-hot form when Juventus visit the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that the Nigerian striker will be the centre of attention when the Serie A champions welcome the Old Lady to the biggest game of the weekend in Italy.

Osimhen has been brilliant since returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria last month.

The 25-year-old has scored five goals and assisted one in just three matches across all competitions for his Italian club.

That includes a sensational hat-trick against Sassuolo which inspired Napoli to their first league win in five games after four straight draws.

Osimhen was the catalyst that day and will again be the main threat against Juve's defense when they take to the pitch in Naples.

Both teams head into the clash with just one win from their last five outings and will be eager to improve their form with a much-needed victory.

In terms of their form, Napoli's only defeat in the last five matches came against AC Milan, while Juve have lost two as theirs in the same period.

Napoli are currently ninth in Serie A, 17 points behind second-placed Juventus in what has been a poor title defence for Osimhen and his teammates.

When the sides met last in Naples, Napoli dished out a humiliating 5-1 thrashing with Osimhen bagging a brace and assist.

If the Nigerian hitman can maintain his red-hot form, Napoli will fancy inflicting more misery on Juve and their boss Massimiliano Allegri.
