Napoli look to solve Amorim's problem, snatch Hojlund's move from Milan after failed bid
At Old Trafford, the forward never fully convinced, scoring just 10 goals in 52 appearances last season and struggling to fit into the system implemented by Amorim.
Following his disappointing season, the Red Devils are looking to let him leave this summer, with Italian clubs looking to sign him.
Napoli wants Hojlund
Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund has rejected the terms proposed by Milan for a move from Manchester United, but it appears another club is eager to bring the player to Italy, potentially solving a problem for Ruben Amorim, who does not see the player in his plans.
According to Sky Italia, via Sportal, Antonio Conte has identified the 22-year-old as a primary target to bolster Napoli's attack, which is without the seriously injured Lukaku. The Italian champions seem willing to provide Hojlund with the assurances he seeks to leave the Red Devils.
The same source reports that the forward turned down a move to Milan due to a lack of guarantees about his future at the club, unconvinced by the purchase option the Rossoneri were willing to include in the loan agreement.
Aware of this, Napoli appears prepared to include an obligation to buy at the end of the loan spell, which would guarantee Hojlund's continuity at the club beyond the initial loan period.
The Red Devils also prefer a deal under these terms, hoping to receive around €45 million for a player they signed from Atalanta in 2023 for nearly €80 million.
