MLS: New York Red Bulls promote Ibrahim Kasule to senior team
The club announced on July 8: “New York Red Bulls have signed New York Red Bulls II midfielder Ibrahim Kasule to a short-term agreement,” the club announced.
Kasule will be available for selection as the New York Red Bulls face New England Revolution tonight at Red Bull Arena.
The former Wakiso Giants star earned the call to Major League Soccer following his impressive performance for the New York Red Bulls II competing in the MLS NEXT Pro, the second-tier soccer competition in the United States.
The midfielder leads the club’s scoring charts with six goals and three assists and has led NYRB II to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
He has scored all six goals in his last seven matches and ranks third among active MLS NEXT Pro midfielders in goals scored this season.
