Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood given straight red card against Rayo Vallecano

Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood received a straight red card during Getafe’s 2-0 loss to neighbours Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga.

The one-time England international saw red after an altercation with Jorge Figueroa Vazquez and was sent off due to dissent directed at the referee

The match saw a total of three players from Getafe sent off. Before Greenwood's dismissal, Juanmi Latasa was shown a red card, and later, Damian Suarez was also sent off despite still being on the bench.

In the end, Rayo Vallecano claimed an easy win after a brilliant brace from Sergio Camello helped the visitors claim all three points at the Cívitas Metropolitano. 

Before the incident, Greenwood had contributed significantly to Getafe, with three goals and four assists in 14 appearances. His performance had sparked rumours about a potential transfer to Barcelona and Getafe's interest in retaining him permanently
