Manchester City crowned Club World Champions amid fiery clash between Kyle Walker and Felipe Melo

However, the celebration was momentarily overshadowed by a heated altercation involving Kyle Walker and Felipe Melo. 

According to the Sun, the clash, which occurred just seconds after the final whistle, saw both players engage in a physical confrontation. 

Teammate Jack Grealish intervened, pulling Walker away from the fray as players from both sides rushed in, escalating into a melee. Despite the chaos, the situation was quickly defused, allowing City to proceed with their victory celebrations.

Phil Foden, another key figure in City's triumph, reflected on the match's challenges. He praised Fluminense's playing style and acknowledged the difficulties posed by the unfamiliar heat. 

Foden emphasized the importance of the victory, noting, "This is so important for the club. I'm delighted. It is massive for the club.” His words encapsulate the team's spirit and determination, underlining the significance of this victory in Manchester City's history.

Manchester City will return to England where they will have little time for celebrations as they host in-form Everton in a bid to close to the gap on the teams at the top of the Premier League table.
